Eno River Unitarian Universalist (ERUUF)
Fellowship Common Room

We are very excited to present Kol Haskalah’s Musicale celebration to honor one of our founding members Marv Axelrod. This event will be a wonderful opportunity for our community to gather and enjoy performances by many members of our talented congregation.

Come and perform with other musicians in our Jewish music themed concert or just enjoy the music and sing-along sections. We are encouraging folks who play instruments (guitar, flute, piano, kazoo, spoons, washboard…) to perform their favorites. We are also asking for song suggestions for the sing-along. Let us know your favorites. Bring a dessert to share.

Price of admission is canned food to be donated to a local food bank serving the needy in our community.

Please call 919 260-4801 if you have any questions or need further information.

It’s Sukkot!

sukkot 2015

Kol Haskalah celebrated Sukkot with a presentation by our Sunday School’s Junior Division. We sang songs, learned about the holiday and shook the Lulav and Esrog.

A harvest holiday, Sukkot is often celebrated inside a sukka , a three-sided hut with a roof open to the sky, constructed especially for the event. Here families and communities are able to gather and eat a meal, share stories and enjoy the outdoors. For Humanistic Jews, Sukkot is a time to appreciate nature and the outdoors, and to celebrate Jewish identity with family and friends.
